The Warrior Band Info
For the 1997-1998 marching band season, the band is performing their"Rhythm Explosion Show". 'What is the Rhythm Explosion Show?' you might ask...Well, in Warrior country it goes something like this...
Our opener this year is "What is Hip" made popular by the Tower of Power. This song is a up-tempo jazz song that features our best saxophones. Our second number is a drumline feature called "Fiesta Charra" including some great drum to drum effects. Keeping the latin feel, our third and final number this year is "Africa:Ceremony, Song and Ritual".
The 1996-97 Warrior Marching Band was grand champion at the Oakland, Maryland band festival, and won high percussion in the Southern Garrett festival. The band performed at Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland in California, during their April trip.
This year, the band is planning a trip to Toronto in early May.
